Will You Follow God’s Plan for Victory in Your Life?
Are you facing an insurmountable obstacle? Are you praying and waiting for victory or an answer? God has a plan and a vision of victory in your life. This message reveals the keys to entering into God's victory for you.
ABOUT THE SPEAKER:
Apollo Sulse is a youth Pastor at The Bay Church. But that didn’t come easy or right away. In his own words, Pastor Apollo describes his calling:
“I was a teacher for almost 5 years but felt a call on my life to full-time ministry. I took a leap of faith and quit my job to lead a youth group full-time without pay for a year until God opened the door for full-time employment. My amazing wife, Rebekah, and I have been married since 2013 and have two amazing twin boys named Ephraim and Elisha as well as their younger brother, Ezra. We have been doing ministry together since 2008 from the time we started in the same youth group, where we met, to our positions at our current church in Concord, CA. I have been serving as the network youth pastor, intern director, and young adults pastor at The Bay Church and I absolutely love ministry and serving my local community! I believe that God has a specific call on my life to reach, equip, and build up leaders to reach their full potential. I am willing to do whatever it takes to see His love lived out across multiple generations and cultures.”
God Wants to Take You Into Victory. Will You Follow?
“If people can’t see what God is doing, they stumble all over themselves; But when they attend to what he reveals, they are most blessed” (Proverbs 29:18, MSG).
Blessing is attached to submitting to God’s vision.
‘Now the gates of Jericho were securely barred because of the Israelites. No one went out and no one came in. 2 Then the Lord said to Joshua, “See, I have delivered Jericho into your hands, along with its king and its fighting men. 3 March around the city once with all the armed men. Do this for six days. 4 Have seven priests carry trumpets of rams’ horns in front of the ark. On the seventh day, march around the city seven times, with the priests blowing the trumpets. 5 When you hear them sound a long blast on the trumpets, have the whole army give a loud shout; then the wall of the city will collapse and the army will go up, everyone straight in.”’ (Joshua 6:1-5, NIV).
God says that if you follow his command, then he will lead you into victory. When God gives you a vision, he gives you a vision for victory. God wants to take you into victory. But first you have to follow his pace. First, you have to trust God every step of the way.
How many times do we not see what God has for us because we don’t see the victory? Sometimes God wants us to slow down and trust him for the next instruction. Before God walks you into victory he wants you to praise him first and enter his presence. God wants us to stop and praise him before the victory.
Before you step in victory will you step into God's presence? When we walk in obedience and we walk in God's presence, things begin to change. Don’t get so confident in your plans that you proceed without God’s presence. Wherever you are, no matter what you're going through, would you take a moment to pause right now? Will you thank God for what he's already done and where he's taking you?
